In 2019 my husband and I took a road trip across the US. We initially drove for six weeks in the spring, then for another four weeks in the fall. We took the most obscure route possible to see the beauty of the country off the main roads. This photo of train tacks was taken in New Mexico. The tracks were warped by the heat. It was so hot when we were there so I can only imagine how hot it had to be to cause this odd and beautiful damage.
