Geek mom loves to sew
Ich bin eine Mutter. Und ein Geek. Oder ein Nerd. Ein ehemaliger Bandfreak. All diese Dinge treffen auf mich zu.
Aber zurück zum Muttersein. Mein Mann und ich haben jetzt zwei Söhne. Unsere erste ist 9 Jahre alt und die zweite ist 5. Unsere Kinder wissen, wer Doctor Who ist und wie die TARDIS aussieht. Das Harry-Potter-Universum ist Teil ihres Universums. Also ziehe ich ein gutes paar Geeks groß.
Als wir erwarteten, kam unser Sohn überraschend. Keine Ahnung, ob er ein Mädchen oder ein Junge sein würde. Als ich also Babysachen einkaufen ging, war das alles das eine oder das andere. Rosa oder Blau. Die Aufteilung in Baby- / Kinderprodukte macht mich verrückt. Also möchte ich lustige Produkte, die für jeden funktionieren können. Etwas, das mit Ihrem Kind wachsen wird und nicht in ein oder zwei Jahren babyhaft sein wird.
Ich liebe gute Stoffgeschäfte und die Tonnen von lustigen Stoffen, die Designer entwickeln, die nicht super geschlechts- oder altersspezifisch sind. Ich mag es, das zu machen, von dem ich denke, dass es anderen gefallen würde, weil es das ist, wonach ich Ausschau halte, wenn ich einkaufen gehe.

I am a mom. And a geek. Or a nerd. A former Band Geek. All of those things apply to me.
But back to being a mom. My husband and I now have two sons. Our first is 9 years old and second is 5. Our kids know who Doctor Who is and what the TARDIS looks like. Harry Potter universe is part of their universe. So I am raising a good little geeks.
When we were expecting our son came as a surprise. No idea if he was going to be a girl or a boy. So when I went shopping for baby stuff it was all one or the other. Pink or Blue. The split in baby/kids products drives me crazy. So I want fun products that can work for anyone. Something that will grow with your child and not be babyish in a year or two.
I love good fabric stores, and the tons of fun fabrics designers are coming up with that are not super gender or age specific. I like to make what I think others would like because it is what I am on the look out for when I go shopping.
So with the help of my family, I present Geek Out Sewing.
