In April 2021, in issue 68, Crochet Now! published my Eiffel Tower Wall Hanging. What a dream come true to be published in a magazine! Read about my first magazine experience here: http://ashleeslint.com/2021/04/19/eiffel-tower/

It is an overlay mosaic crochet pattern. I used Scheepjes Organicon yarn (4-ply, fingering weight) and as per their requirements the pattern was written in UK terminology.

Now that the rights to the pattern have reverted to me, I am publishing it using my normal template. **I use US terminology** and I write up my patterns for **two techniques**: interlocking crochet and overlay mosaic crochet. Charts are also included (x's mark the dropped dc for the mosaic version).

The black and white sample in the image uses only two colors and was done by an Anonymous Squirrel using the interlocking technique. The mosaic sample I made for the magazine uses 7 colors (1 main color and a series of 6 contrasting colors).

**As of June 2022**, I have corrected an error in the yardage amounts. The correct numbers are:

**For Interlocking Crochet**
• Scheepjes Organicon (Or any fingering weight yarn to meet gauge) (1850 yards total)
o Main color (MC) – 900 yards plus 50 for optional border
o Accent color (AC) – 150 yards each of 6 colors, 900 yards total
- Crochet hook: 3 mm (C/2)
- Stitch marker
- Gauge: 13 stitches x 26 rows in one color = 4” square

**For Mosaic Crochet**
• Scheepjes Organicon (Or any fingering weight yarn to meet gauge) (170m per 50g skein/ball) (1156 yards total)
o Main color (MC) – 3 balls (510 m / 558 yards)
o Accent color (AC) – 1 ball each in 6 colors (90 m / 98 yards of each color)
- Crochet hook: 3 mm (C/2)
- Scissors
- Gauge: 26 stitches x 26 rows = 4" square

The mosaic version has fringe along both sides as a by-product of the technique. You may wish to add fringe to your interlocking project.

I wish I had a better picture of myself, but I was too excited to get dressed up before taking my photo with the magazine; that’s my “is this real?” face.

Find the pattern inside issue 68 of [Crochet Now][1] - on sale 22 April 2021 (uses UK terminology) or *here directly from me* (using US terminology and having the additional format of interlocking crochet).

I created an eBook a few months ago called “Parisian Wall Hangings”. The “Fleur-De-Lis Wall Hanging” and “Une Autre Fleur” are now, finally, joined by my original “Eiffel Tower Wall Hanging”.

The Locked Filet Mesh (LFM) interlocking crochet method uses only chain spaces and double crochets to create a mesh; two colors are worked alternately which creates the pattern.

Mosaic crochet uses single crochet and double crochet stitches. The double crochet stitches cover some of the other color's single crochet stitches to create the design. My patterns instruct you to cut your yarn at the end of each row. The back is striped but often gives a faint impression of the pattern on the front (sort of like illusion knitting).

I have YouTube tutorials available for both crochet methods! Follow this link to get to my YouTube channel and find my other social links: linktr.ee/LFMandMosaic

The finished project looks great. Directions were easy enough to follow, although it took me a few rows and a lot of patience to get the hang of mosaic crochet.

The pattern is very well written. I am halfway finished making this blanket and it will not be my last one. It’s beautiful!

I'm in love with this pattern and mosaic crochet. Just started and I know it's going to take awhile but this one is for me! Post pics when done
