Crochet this modern day Regency-inspired drawstring bag using the lovely shell stitch! This elegant and romantic bag is quick to work up and can be worn cross body. Make one for yourself and your little ones so you can match! Strong mercerized cotton (Lion Brand Yarn's 24/7 Cotton yarn) is used for this design. The pattern is written in US crochet terminology and includes two sizes: Size 1 and Size 2. The finished dimensions are: Size 1: 6”/15 cm across, 7”/18 cm tall, 14.5”/37 cm circumference, straps are 16”/41 cm long (measured from top of bag); Size 2: 8”/20 cm across, 9”/23 cm tall, 19”/48 cm circumference, straps are 18”/46 cm long (measured from top of bag). Size 1 requires 1 skein of 24/7 Cotton and Size 2 requires 1.5 skeins of 24/7 Cotton. Made the small size as a passport/valuables travel bag for my trip to Europe next month. Looks exactly like photos, SO easy to follow. Super functional, love how wide the top opens and how naturally it cinches closed when being worn. An excellently written pattern. Going to make a large one for summer accessorizing for sure! I used Amigo DK 3 from Hobbii and it’s a bit more stretchy than I’d like but looks great and still functions as needed. Thank you for the pattern! Will be making tons of these this year.
