The Dax Trousers are a classic pair of chino style pants for boys. They include front hip pockets and back double welt pockets. A fully functional fly, fly shield, button
closure and belt loops complete the authentic look. For warmer weather, add the optional cuff tabs so the pants can easily be rolled up for a casual look.

This pattern is an intermediate/advanced sewing level due to the functional fly, waistband, and belt loops. A free step by step guide is available for the fly, so do not be afraid if you haven’t done one before!

Computer drawn, printable pattern pieces are no-trim, and the pattern includes layers so that you can print only the size you need. Detailed tutorial includes photographs for each step. See listing photographs for size chart and required materials.

Have made 2 pairs so far and they both fit great. It's nice to be able to adjust the waist while making because my little boy is a string bean and store bought pants always need taken in. I made his pair in green corduroy and he looks very put together wearing them. I made my daughter some in wool, and unfortunately they are a little itchy for her, but they fit great. I might go back and line with flannel or something so she will wear them.
