A simple, modern design, yet a warm handmade feel makes this ceramic pencil pot, planter or toothbrush holder a lovely addition to the home. With its rustic and coastal appeal, the handpainted blue patterns echo both traditional Danish and Mediterranean Majolica pottery. Perfect too for all those garden offices, bathroom, beach huts, campervans or shepherd's huts!

Shoreline Ceramics planters are made from terracotta clay which is thrown on the potter's wheel and carefully shaped to create soft forms and avoid harsh edges. (I try to capture a feel of objects might have been worn down by the action of the sea). After being left to dry thoroughly, they are bisque fired and glazed with a traditional majolica-style Tin white glaze and hand painted with of blue Cobalt Oxide. They then head back to the kiln for a second firing.

Every Shoreline Ceramics item is made to be unique and is carefully hand crafted. Glaze density, depth of colour, pattern and design may well vary from piece to piece.
