This is an absolutely beautiful replica with a bright polish and I would think a fair representation of a “typical” Mycaenan type G sword was like in weight and handling. It matches the description on the site. It is not however a sword with a live edge (sharp). I’m pretty sure the edge has not been work hardened and there are minor pits from the casting which probably occurred in the real thing as well. The site is very clear that this should not be used as a real sword/knife. This should not deter you from buying it however as it really is quite lovely and will give you a feel for how the original probably handled, just don’t try and use it for cutting practice. It short I would buy this again a lovely sword that will look right at home with my collection.
