Aller à la boîte aux lettres devrait être un événement passionnant. Chaque Noël, je me retrouvais à me poser la question: « Pourquoi les cartes de Noël ne peuvent-elles pas être cool? », désirant voir autre chose qu’un Père Noël ringard mal imprimé sur un morceau de carte fragile dans une enveloppe qui pourrait être confondue avec du tissu. La célébration de Noël semblait implorer un relooking de design. Mon objectif était simple, apporter une partie de la beauté de Noël à la carte. Créez une œuvre d’art qui pourrait non seulement apporter un sourire à chaque boîte aux lettres, mais qui serait également digne d’être exposée.
Inspiré par la nature, je crée des cartes pour exprimer la joie de la saison. Que le ciel et la nature chantent !
À PROPOS DE MOI:
Ma mère m’a mis un pinceau à la main quand j’étais écolière et j’adore créer de l’art depuis. J’ai étudié l’art à l’université jusqu’à ce que je pense que je devais trouver une meilleure façon de payer les factures, alors j’ai étudié et j’ai obtenu ma maîtrise en tant qu’infirmière praticienne familiale. J’ai travaillé dans le domaine du VIH et du sida avec le désir d’aider les gens du monde entier. Quand mon premier bébé est arrivé, mes yeux se sont ouverts à un tout nouveau monde, avec lui, l’art a refait surface. Maintenant, en tant que maman de trois enfants qui fait l’école à la maison, j’en apprends chaque jour plus sur moi-même, sur le monde et sur le Dieu qui a tout créé. Mon art est l’expression des belles choses dans le monde que je vois.
Going to the mailbox should be an exciting event. Each Christmas I found myself asking the question, "Why can't Christmas cards be cool?", longing to see something other than a cheesy Santa poorly printed on a flimsy piece of card in a envelope that could be mistaken for tissue. The celebration of Christmas seemed to be begging for a design make-over. My goal was simple, bring some of the beauty of Christmas to the card. Create a piece of art that could not only bring a smile to every mailbox but would also be worthy of display.
Inspired by nature, I create cards to express the joy of the season. Let heaven and nature sing!
ABOUT ME:
My mom put a paintbrush in my hand when I was a school girl and I have loved to create art ever since. I studied art in college until I thought I needed to find a better way to pay the bills, so I studied and received my masters degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I worked in HIV and AIDS with a desire to help people around the world. When my first baby came along my eyes were opened to a whole new world, along with it, art resurfaced. Now as a homeschooling mama of three, every day I learn more about myself, the world, and the God who created it all. My art is the expression of the beautiful things in the world I see.
