Le voyage a commencé en 2014 après une campagne de financement participatif réussie. Il s’est rendu compte qu’il est possible de gagner sa vie à temps plein en étant un fabricant indépendant.
L’enthousiasme de Brett pour créer des choses a commencé bien avant qu’il ne réalise qu’il était un être humain. On a dit qu’il transportait des briques et des morceaux de bois d’avant en arrière dans la cour arrière en prétendant qu’il construisait un fort - il ne s’en souvient pas. Une chose dont il se souvient, c’est qu’il voulait sculpter la toute nouvelle table à manger en bois massif de sa mère, mais elle ne l’a pas laissé faire.
Brett a fondé Kegs & Code en 2014 pour aider au lancement du Brew Journal - un journal de bord qui ramène la simplicité de l’enregistrement des recettes de bière artisanale avec de l’encre et du papier. Aujourd’hui, il se concentre sur la création de tout ce qui lui vient à l’esprit (bière ou non liée à la bière) et sur l’aide aux autres pour qu’ils poursuivent une vie à temps plein en tant que fabricant indépendant.

Brett's enthusiasm for creating things started long before he realized he was a human being. It has been said that he would carry bricks and pieces of wood back and forth in the backyard pretending he was building a fort - he doesn't remember that. One thing he does remember is that he wanted to carve his mom's brand new solid wood dinner table but she didn't let him.
Brett founded Kegs & Code in 2014 to help with the launch of the Brew Journal - a logbook that brings back the simplicity of logging craft beer recipes with ink and paper. Today, his focus is on creating whatever comes to mind (beer or not beer related) and helping others to pursue a full time living as an independent maker.
