Comment en suis-je arrivé là ? Eh bien, tout a commencé lorsque j’ai travaillé dans l’industrie de l’impression et ouvert ma propre imprimerie. Voulant développer mon entreprise et m’aventurer dans un nouveau territoire, j’ai commencé à offrir de la broderie. J’ai fait des chemises et des chapeaux d’entreprise, etc. Je ne savais pas à l’époque que je tomberais amoureuse de l’art et que cela deviendrait une passion.
Les choses ont changé quand j’ai eu des enfants. Je voulais broder des tissus de rot, des sacs, des vêtements et tout ce que je pouvais mettre dans mon cerceau. Je faisais enfin quelque chose de créatif et j’apprenais à quel point la broderie pouvait vraiment être amusante. J’étais excité et heureux. J’ai réalisé que je voulais quelque chose de plus.... quelque chose de différent de la broderie d’affaires à laquelle j’étais habitué.
Comme je m’intéressais de plus en plus à la broderie, j’ai décidé de vendre la partie impression de mon entreprise pour me concentrer sur la broderie et j’ai également ajouté des créations en vinyle. J’ai déménagé mon entreprise dans le centre commercial Opry Mills à Nashville, TN près du Grand Ole Opry. Oh oui, un grand déménagement!!! C’était très chronophage, beaucoup de travail acharné, mais beaucoup de plaisir et extrêmement gratifiant. Vous pouvez donc imaginer à quel point j’ai été extrêmement dévasté lorsque le centre commercial a été inondé en 2010 et n’a pas rouvert pendant 2 ans. À ce moment-là, j’ai réalisé qu’il y avait tellement plus de gens qui faisaient de la broderie et du vinyle que lorsque j’ai commencé. Je voulais différencier mon entreprise des autres entreprises de broderie. Donc, pendant ces 2 années, j’ai prié pour que Dieu mène mon entreprise dans une nouvelle direction. J’ai travaillé à la réorganisation de mon entreprise et je me suis concentrée sur ce que j’aimais le plus dans la broderie. Le vrai bonheur dans votre travail est de trouver cette paix que Dieu vous donne lorsque vous suivez ce qu’Il a à l’esprit.

How did I get here? Well, it all started when I worked in the printing industry and opened my own printing company. Wanting to expand my business and venture out into new territory, I started offering embroidery. I did company shirts and hats, etc. Little did I know at the time, that I would fall in love with the art and it would become a passion.
Things changed when I had children. I wanted to embroider burp cloths, bags, clothes, and anything I could fit in my hoop. I was finally doing something creative and learning how much fun embroidery could really be. I was excited and happy. I realized I had been wanting something more.... something different from the business embroidery I was used to.
As I became more and more interested in embroidery, I decided to sell the printing portion of my business to focus on the embroidery and I also added on vinyl creations. I moved my business into Opry Mills Mall in Nashville, TN by the Grand Ole Opry. Oh yes, a big move!!! It was very time consuming, lots of hard work, but loads of fun and extremely rewarding. So you can imagine how extremely devastated I was when the mall flooded in 2010 and didn't reopen for 2 years. By this time, I realized there were so many more people doing embroidery and vinyl than when I first began. I wanted to differentiate my business from other embroidery businesses. So during those 2 years, I prayed for God to lead my business in a new direction. I worked at reorganizing my business and focus on doing what I loved most about embroidery. True happiness in your work is finding that peace God gives you when you follow what He has in mind.
