Ruby y Mathilda son mi bisabuela y mi 2ª bisabuela. Mathilda, hija de un granjero, era una mujer joven de principios de siglo, viendo los inventos del teléfono, la electricidad y la radio. Ruby, su hija, creció como una niña durante la Gran Depresión y experimentó la agitación de la Segunda Guerra Mundial como esposa de guerra. Estas mujeres representan a las mujeres de su tiempo: fuertes, trabajadoras y resilientes.

Nos encanta lo vintage porque cuenta una historia: estos artículos pueden hablar a su manera, solo tienes que escuchar. Nos abastecemos principalmente de la era victoriana hasta la década de 1940, pero podemos tener una pieza ocasionalmente más nueva (aún de segunda mano o NOS) que conserva el aspecto atemporal de artículos más antiguos y auténticos. En nuestra tienda encontrará algunos de los encantadores artículos vintage que hemos reunido, cuidadosamente reparados, limpiados suavemente, fotografiados y listados, listos para ser adorados una vez más. ¡Esperamos que disfrutes pasando tiempo en nuestra tienda y encuentres algo que te guste!

Hello! My name is Ivy, the shop owner and creator of Ruby & Mathilda Vintage.
Ruby & Mathilda offers authentic, wearable and affordable vintage, with versatility and diversity in mind. We do our best to provide a positive experience with great service, safe shipping and transparent communication.

Ruby & Mathilda are my great-grandmother and 2nd great-grandmother. Mathilda, the daughter of a farmer, was a young woman at the turn of the century, seeing the inventions of the telephone, electricity and radio. Ruby, her daughter, grew up as a young girl during the Great Depression and experienced the turmoil of WWII as a war wife. These women represent the women of their time: strong, hardworking and resilient.

We love vintage because it tells a story - these items can speak in their own way, you just have to listen. We source primarily from the Victorian era to the 1940's, but may have an occasional newer (still secondhand or NOS) piece that retains the timeless look of older, authentic items. In our shop you will find some of the charming vintage items we've gathered, carefully repaired, gently cleaned, photographed and listed, ready to be adored once again.
