The thresholds are those of the German small business regulation (§ 19 UStG). Different rules apply to Austria and Switzerland – this template is not intended for them.

IMPORTANT – SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
You need Microsoft Excel on your computer.
- Invoice generator: Excel file with macros (.xlsm). Microsoft 365 or Excel 2021/2024 (Windows and Mac), also Excel 2019 on Windows. When opening, select "Enable macros" – see page 1 of the instructions.
- Income overview: Excel file without macros (.xlsx), Excel 2016 or newer or Microsoft 365.
The bundle does NOT work with Excel in the browser, iPad/mobile phone, Google Sheets or Apple Numbers.

INVOICE GENERATOR

HOW TO WORK WITH BOTH
Create and send the invoice using the invoice generator. Once the money arrives, enter the payment in the income overview – along with your expenses and income from other sources. The two files are independent of each other; there is no automatic transfer.

The income overview only compares totals against thresholds; it does not indicate whether the small business regulation applies to you and is not an income statement.
