Geboren aus queerem Chaos
Born out of queer chaos
Ich begann mit einem Freund, Würfel zu basteln, obwohl ich kaum Erfahrung mit Kunstharzarbeiten hatte. Wir bastelten gemeinsam viele verschiedene Dinge, die immer aus spontanen Ideen entstanden – manche gut, manche nicht so gut. Tatsächlich hatten wir bald das Gefühl, dass es immer nur zwei Wege gab: Entweder wir hatten eine tolle Idee, die unsere Stärken vereinte und gut funktionierte, oder es endete im totalen Chaos. Als die Physik-Nerds, die wir damals waren, fingen wir bald an, darüber zu scherzen, ob es negative oder positive Interferenz gäbe (Interferenz bedeutet, dass sich zwei Wellen beim Aufeinandertreffen addieren oder subtrahieren). Aus dieser Theorie entstand der Shopname GAY INTERFERENCE CRAFTS.
I started making dice with a friend and little to no experience in resin crafts. We did a lot of different crafts together that always originated from idees we came up with on the go, some good, some not so good. In fact we soon felt like things would always go one of two ways: either we had a great idea that combined our strenghts and worked out well, or it ended in total chaos. Being the geeky physics students we were back then we soon started joking about either having negative or positiv intereference with each other (Interference meaning how two waves add up or substract from each other when they meet). Out of this theory the shop name GAY INTERFERENCE CRAFTS was born.
