It's that easy, right? Well, yes and no. Here at Bug in a Box we focus on sourcing our insects through ethical means. This can include, but isn't limited to, breeding local insects native to our environment, contacting and buying from approved ethical breeders, locating donated, thrifted or abandoned specimens, and more. Every step in this process is focused on preserving nature, including the steps we take before any critters go in our displays.

Originally, our business started as a small hobby by a young aspiring entomologist at local farmers markets- over time, we've grown to run the business as a couple with a goal to chase our dreams. We both have other full-time responsibilities, but that won't ever stop us from pursuing what makes us happy. We hope that you'll find (or commission) a piece of happiness to take home with you and that you'll be reminded of the beauty of nature.
