Color / Design: Country Mix by Barn Walls
Barn Walls headboards come in individual real wood panels. The number of panels varies based on the size of the bed: twin (2 panels), full (3 panels), queen (3 panels), king (4 panels), and California king (4 panels).
We have two assembly styles, Hangers and Leaners:
1. HANGER - This is a wall-mounted (floating) headboard, standing at 36" high. Each panel can be easily hung side by side, with adjustable height for your convenience.
- Secure to wall with heavy duty hooks and nails (included)
- Nails leave only a pin-sized hole
- Ditch the bed frame attachment drama
Compatible with:
- Adjustable beds
- Sleep number beds
- Platform beds
- Standard bed frames
2. LEANER - These panels stand tall at 58" in height and rest on the floor. They connect to each other by being placed side by side. Once assembled, you will have a large panel that can be secured to the wall using the double-sided tape we provide.
- Secure to wall with double sided adhesive tape (included)
- No holes on wall
- Great option for dorms and apartments
- Ditch the bed frame attachment drama; our headboards stand alone!

RUSTIC COUNTRY HEADBOARD - Multi colored Country Mix original Barn Walls headboard design includes Redwash, Antique White, Graywash, and Golden Brown finish, handcrafted with real solid wood planks.
SIGNATURE DESIGN - Individually hand brush-painted and stained. Since it is real wood there will be some natural variations and imperfections like knots or splits. Each shiplap has the tendency to absorb the paint and stain differently, therefore the finish may slightly vary from the pictures on display.

Why are the headboards wider than normal?
In our early days, making them wider was a strategy to reduce costs. Instead of cutting wood boards to specific lengths, we found it more economical to use them as they were. Over time, we received feedback from customers who appreciated the extra width, especially as it compensated for the fluffiness of their comforters. If you'd prefer a custom length, please let us know. We're happy to accommodate at no additional cost.
Why are the King and California King headboards the same width?
The reason is consistent with the explanation provided above. The King mattress measures 76 inches in width, while the California King is 72 inches wide. If you have a preference for either of these two dimensions, please mention it in the comments section when placing your order.
Why is the King and California King HANGER style headboard wider (86 inches) compared to the LEANER style (80 inches)?
The reason is that the Leaner style headboard is larger and heavier, necessitating narrower panels to ensure proper shipping protection and fit within the packaging. You might wonder why we don't simply use a larger box. The answer is that our current packaging size is just below the threshold of what carriers consider standard. Exceeding this size by even a few inches would place the shipment in the 'oversize' category, doubling the shipping cost. We make these adjustments to provide cost savings for our customers.
