I opted for the sanded version, which clearly states the materials: wood boards and screws ( I finished it with a low VOC oil monocoat - hence the color in the pic) . The wood looks fantastic! I’d replace or cover the visible screws. The hand-drawn instructions are simple, but I wish there was an option for concealed screws. The pre-drilled holes are also exposed. Overall, it’s a great quality piece with nice wood, and you can enhance it. I didn’t ask for no holes and a support pin/shelf peg alternative assembly.

I am employing this solid storage unit as shoe & clothing storage. The single negative - a relatively minor one - is the finish option. A Danish Oil finish option is offered, though unavailable upon my purchase. Aside from "Clear Coat" - which was my choice - only a "Sanded" option was available, allowing the user to apply their own stain, but I lack a suitable workspace for that operation. This clear coat is a bit glossy for my taste, almost lending a cheaper Ikea vibe. Still, notably for this price, a satisfying acquisition. Exposed pine wood grain is very handsome. I do love that! Excellent dimension, perfect cubby size for my needs. Shipping was prompt as well as free, which is extra excellent on such a heavy item! Easy assembly, a sturdy unit when completed. No wobble. Stand it up or on its side, pretty versatile.
