Ich bin Jessie Lyle, eine autodidaktische Künstlerin aus York County, Pennsylvania. Hier geboren und aufgewachsen, lebe ich noch immer in Pennsylvania mit meinem Mann, mit dem ich seit 20 Jahren verheiratet bin, und unseren beiden Söhnen. Ohne formale Ausbildung – nur mit einer lebenslangen Leidenschaft fürs Zeichnen – habe ich ein umfangreiches Werk geschaffen, das Tierporträts, Oldtimer, fantasievolle Kunst und ausdrucksstarke Studien umfasst.

Mich fasziniert die Liebe zum Detail: die Textur von Fell, der Glanz von Chrom, die Zartheit eines Spinnennetzes. Viele meiner Werke zeichnen sich durch ausdrucksstarke, emotionale Augen aus, die den Betrachter einladen, sich intensiver mit dem Motiv auseinanderzusetzen. Ich liebe es, leuchtende, satte Farben mit sanfteren, subtileren Hintergründen zu kombinieren, sodass jedes Motiv den Eindruck erweckt, als würde es aus dem Bild heraustreten.

Ich arbeite hauptsächlich mit Buntstift und Aquarellfarben und habe das Ziel, Kunstwerke zu schaffen, die sich sowohl verspielt als auch präzise anfühlen – voller Charakter, Herz und fein beobachteter Details.

I’m Jessie Lyle, a self-taught artist based in York County, Pennsylvania. Born and raised here, I still live in Pennsylvania with my husband of 20 years and our two boys. With no formal training—just a lifelong passion for drawing—I’ve built a body of work that spans animal portraits, classic cars, whimsical and fantasy art, and expressive studies.

I’m drawn to attention to detail: the texture of fur, the gleam of chrome, the delicacy of a spider’s web. Many of my pieces feature striking, emotive eyes that invite viewers to connect with the subject on a deeper level. I love pairing vibrant, saturated colors with softer, more subtle backgrounds so that each subject feels like it’s stepping forward from the page.

Working primarily in colored pencil and watercolor, I aim to create artwork that feels both playful and precise—full of character, heart, and finely observed detail.
