To care for my brass chains. Brass is a very strong long lasting metal. My chains can last for years with the right care. You can use a microfiber cloth to clean any of my jewelry.
Nickel free options don't sleep, swim, or exercise with jewelry on.
Try to avoid getting my jewelry wet if you can. if not dry right as soon as you can.
My charms are either zinc alloy, stainless, pewter, or aluminum.
I only buy my supplies from reputable vendors only.

Silver plated, most people like the look of the silver plated as long as you don't have a metal allergy it is usually fine. These with time and continued use will tarnish. Don't expose to moisture to prolong the life of the jewelry.
Stainless steel, my stainless is 304 stainless with a nickel content of 8% most people love stainless because it is hypoallergenic, doesn't rust or tarnish. Most people with nickel allergies can wear stainless, I am not one of those people.
Nickel free plated items are for people such as myself who find even stainless too much nickel. With excessive use this will wear off.

Skin is very diverse and it depends on the acidity.
If you think you might have acidic skin or have experienced this before I would say stainless steel is your best option.

I use aluminum discs for all my hand stamping items to give a larger amount of customers options. They are nickel free and do not rust or tarnish.
