I make the rings from round solid copper wire 8g (3mm) for the large ones and 12g (2mm) for the small ones. To finish I mattify it and oxidize it, then i brush some of the oxide off, giving it a raw, rustic look.
The raw malahite stones works as a captive bead and locks the hoop nicely.
The large hoops measures 45mm in inner diameter and the stone is approx. 12x18mm and the small one measure 30mm in inner diameter and the stone measures approx. 11x8mm.
