Créer, faire des choses avec vos mains, la beauté et l’utilité. L’art et l’artisanat ont toujours fait partie de ma vie. Ma mère était créatrice de mode et styliste, et la première femme de notre famille à aller à l’université. Je suis devenu la deuxième génération à obtenir un diplôme d’art lorsque j’ai obtenu mon diplôme du New York State College of Ceramics, School of Art & Design de l’Université Alfred avec mon BFA en Studio Art. J’ai grandi en visitant de grandes institutions métropolitaines dédiées à l’art et à la culture avec mes parents, et à l’adolescence, j’ai été exposé à la notion d’artisanat en tant que profession lorsque j’ai commencé à travailler pour un potier dans un artisanat local. juste. L’idée de gagner sa vie grâce à sa créativité tout en alliant beauté et utilité ne m’a jamais quittée. Je suis séduit par le mouvement Arts and Crafts et sa philosophie de s’entourer d’objets soigneusement choisis, esthétiquement agréables et pratiques. La relation des Shakers à leur environnement est aussi l’une de mes inspirations, une parmi tant d’autres. Je prends ces influences, ainsi que ma formation en art, très en considération lorsque je choisis le type d’objets que je crée ou embellis, et la manière dont ils sont ornés. Mes œuvres d’art mixtes et interdisciplinaires ont été montrées dans des expositions individuelles et collectives à Washington, DC, Maryland, Kentucky et New York. Je réside actuellement à Louisville, dans le Kentucky, avec mon mari, Neal et nos trois chats, Rupert, La Vache et Oberon. Creating, making things with your hands, beauty and usefulness. Art and craft have always been a part of my life. My mother was a fashion designer and stylist, and the first woman in our family to attend college. I became the second generation to obtain an art degree when I graduated from the New York State College of Ceramics, School of Art & Design at Alfred University with my BFA in Studio Art. I grew up visiting major metropolitan institutions dedicated to art and culture with my parents, and as a teenager I was exposed to the notion of craft as a profession when I began working for a potter at a local craft fair. The idea of making a living through one’s creativity while combining beauty and usefulness has never left me. I am enamored by the Arts and Crafts movement and its philosophy of surrounding oneself with carefully-chosen, aesthetically-pleasing and practical objects. The relationship of the Shakers to their surroundings is also one of my inspirations, one among many. I take these influences, as well as my training in art, very much into consideration when I choose the type of items that I create or embellish, and the manner in which they are adorned. My mixed-media and cross-disciplinary artwork has been shown in solo and in group shows in Washington, DC, Maryland, Kentucky and New York. Currently my craft pieces can be found in downtown Louisville, Kentucky at Craft Gallery.
It is a pleasure to witness folks enjoying what I have made, for me to share my creativity and enthusiasm, and an honor when those folks become my customers and make one of my pieces their own.

I currently reside in Louisville, Kentucky with my husband, Neal and our three cats, Rupert, La Vache and Oberon. I am an avid hiker, backpacking enthusiast (200+ miles on the AT in 2008), volunteer with the Forest Service, history nut and historical reinactor with the SCA (10th C. Anglo-Saxon persona) and a legal professional during the week.
