VectorCraft Labs est installé dans un atelier qui a toujours été un atelier. Mon père y construisait et réparait des voitures de course et des camions tout-terrain. Mon grand-père y travaillait le bois et entretenait un vaste réseau de trains miniatures. À eux deux, ils étaient capables de réparer à peu près n'importe quoi, et le résultat était toujours impeccable.
Ils sont partis il y a une dizaine d'années. Pendant un temps, l'endroit est resté silencieux. Maintenant, il reprend vie.
Je n'ai jamais choisi un seul métier. Je suis un résolveur de problèmes et un collectionneur de compétences, et VCL est le fruit de la convergence de toutes ces compétences sur un seul atelier : conception, impression 3D, découpe laser, fonderie, produits dérivés et outils pratiques. Les deux aspects de cet atelier, la fabrication brute et les finitions soignées, sont les deux univers qui ont bercé mon enfance.
Mon nom reflète ma façon de travailler. Un vecteur, c'est direct, sans fioritures, et adaptable à toutes les dimensions. Le travail artisanal, c'est la création. Concevoir avec intention, c'est obtenir un résultat impeccable, sans gaspillage ni superflu.
Si un produit sort de cet atelier, c'est qu'il a été bien construit.

VectorCraft Labs runs out of a shop that was always a shop. My dad built and fixed race cars and mud trucks here. My grandfather did woodwork and ran an extensive model train layout in the same space. Between them they could fix just about anything you put in front of them, and they did it right or not at all.
Both have been gone about ten years. For a while the space went quiet. Now it makes things again.
I never picked one trade. I am a problem solver and a collector of skills, and VCL is what happens when you point all of that at one bench: design, 3D printing, laser work, casting, branded goods, and practical tools. The two sides of this shop, raw fabrication and fine detail, are the two sides I grew up around.
The name says how I work. A vector is direct, no fluff, and scales to whatever size the job needs. Craft is the making. Built with intention means getting the job right for what is actually needed, nothing wasted, nothing for show.
If it leaves this shop, it was built right.
