This etsy shop exists because I was making a lot of art anyway and figured if people liked it, it should go someplace. When struggling with my disability, I have trouble feeling useful in the world, and making art is one way I can ameliorate that discomfort. Keeping busy keeps me saner, and the actual process of making things can be therapeutic.

Maybe like you, I'm nerdy and queer and radical. So art is a way for me to message the things I love and care about. Finally having my own button making equipment is almost disturbingly empowering. :)

Most of my supplies are secondhand or otherwise reclaimed from the waste stream - if the fabric for a patch wasn't cut from a falling-apart pair of jeans, it was probably purchased from SCRAP (www.scrappdx.org); if the cardboard I package your order in wasn't cut from a cereal box, it was probably an envelope re-used from a friend. This matches my philosophies and resourcefulness with an ability to charge low prices. If you're marginalized in any way and can't afford an item you're really excited about, I hope you'll message me so that we can try work something out.
