Hard to find first edition of Mahatma Gandhi's book "Gandhi Wields the Weapon of Moral Power (3 Case Histories)",The Navajivan Trust Publishing House, Ahmedabad-14, 5000 copies, September 1960. "We have arrived", wrote Dr. Kumarappa in the Introduction "at a moment in human history when wars have to be banned if humanity is to survive. ....Against this background Gandhiji s life, message and work derive vital significance". A young Gene Sharp, who would become an international authority on non-violent resistance in his own right, especially noted Dr. Einstein s "warm encouragement at a time when the author was entering prison for civil disobedience to military conscription" Much more words of wisdom & thought in this special book.
From my own collection of many years, this gem of a book is a softcover & has some small (1-1.5") tears along the front edges & the paper cover has split corners on 2 lower edges. Has some light marks & a small stain on the back cover. Former owners name written inside. Binding is overall intact & tight except that there is a little separation between pages xvi & xvii. Cover shows some discoloration & shelf wear. Pages are clean with no highlights or other writing inside. Please see photos & convo with any questions.
