This hat block is made for shaping petersham ribbon, see last pictures with example. The ribbon block is 30cm (11.8″) in diameter and has a ROUND outline.

Dampen the petersham ribbon before blocking, pin one end, then stretch the ribbon gently around the block and pin the other end as well. Let the ribbon dry, remove from block. A ribbon block will let you create those perfect, smooth ribbon covered hat brims.

NOTE: this listing includes only the ribbon block seen in the first pictures. Petersham ribbon is not included in the price.
