The base jacket was a thrift store find that looked artsy but was a little humdrum. I had acquired a swimsuit that I set aside for over a year. When I have a clothing item to use in an upcycled design, I begin by deconstructing the original garment into segments that can be sewn (lie flat) and/or work to achieve a symmetry between a left and right side. As I took apart this swimsuit, I began to see how its waistband could work as a collar. The rest of the design followed and turned a very understated piece into an original design that stands out as a one-of-a-kind fabric collage. The name of this jacket is "Superfreak Swimsuit" jacket. Size: Men's L.

Disclaimer: Being a used garment, this may show signs of wear. Also, being more of an artist than a tailor, these garments are more expressions than perfection. Expect some unique variations. Due to the variety of fabrics used, I recommend dry clean or hand wash gently.
