Highlights
Floral 1960's GABAR swimsuit/ Romper. Outer floral fabric is a crinkle cotton or a nylon blend. Inside is lined in a bright yellow cotton. with boning at the side of the bust just below the straps. The bloomer type panties are part of the lining. The outer fabric has elastic shirring on the sides of the bust. The front has darts and and an inverted pleat at the bottom of the skirt. There are yellow double ties that are on the sides that I crossed over in the back and tied in the front or they may be tied at the back and tighten the waist if needed. Closure is with a back metal zipper and eye hook. 3 tags inside - a 1960's union tag. a Sports & Country Clothes, Lord and Taylor Fifth Avenue label and a Gabar, New York with 44 on the back which I believe is the size. Colors and pattern are very pretty.
Measurements - flat approximate - about 20 inches across but without the stretch of the elastic shirred sides. 18 inches across the top of the panties, hips of panties 22 inches. leg opening is 8 inches across but will stretch up to 14 across with the elastic on leg. 34.5 inches from top of strap down side to the hem of the floral outer skirt.
Condition is very good. Like new, appears never to have been worn. There is some spots on the cotton pantie's on both front and back that look like some kind of transfer dye from something this may have been stored with.
