What age is the content for?

The content is aimed at children aged 3-8 years old but adults seem to love it too.

Do we need to live in the countryside

Access to a garden, local park, field or woodland is all you need to take part in the activities suggested in the content. Even if you live in the middle of a city centre there is often one of these close by and the activities included will give you the perfect excuse to explore them more. The growing activities are all suitable for a windowsill or balcony in the absence of access to a garden.

Is it safe to forage with children?

Great question and one we’ve been asked many times. The short answer is that children make for some of the best foragers and it’s something that human kind has been doing for thousands and thousands of years. However it will require a lot of supervision and a lot of repetition on the adults part. Once you introduce toddlers to foraging this will open their mind to eating from the wild and close supervision will be required. It's an investment of time and energy for sure, but the rewards are great for both adult and child. Most children learn very quickly that they must check with an adult before eating anything.
