Highlights

Microraptor was a small four winged dinosaur, thought to have led an arboreal lifestyle, gliding between the trees of Cretaceous China. Some of those trees would have been ginkgo - a “living fossil” popular today for its unusual leaves. Paleontologists now know that Microraptor had glossy iridescent plumage, similar to a modern starling! So I decided to make this pin have a similar oil-slick finish.

⚠️PLEASE NOTE the backing card design has been changed slightly since the photos were taken.

Microraptor is one of my favorite dinosaurs and I could never have asked for a better pin of this creature. The idea to use iridescent materials is so clever as we know that microraptor had shiny iridescent feathers. The materials are once again of extremely good quality, durable and robust (that doesn't mean that you should abuse the product) the carving and colouring is excellent, again the design is paleo-accurate, I just can't emphasize enough how much I love this item !!! If you're in the UK then you'll get it rather fast (considering how poor our postal services are) and you'll receive it in a very cute neat box. Joseph also included some paleo-trivia at the back of the card that the pin stands on. Such a cool shop I'm in love 😍
