Engraving is the process of lettering and designs applying into the leather surface with a laser machine. The laser beam heats the leather surface, burning out and vaporizing the outer layer of leather. For engraved leather, the design appears darker than the surrounding area due to shadows and the color change caused by the process.

For embossing, I use Arial font with all capital letters and the height of the letters is 1/3". Can be made with up to 8 letters. Etched metal letters on the stamps are heated up and branded deep into the leather with up to 3000 pounds force. For the example, please check photo #3.
