John Steinbeck (1902 – 1968), winner of the 1962 Nobel Prize in Literature "for his realistic and imaginative writings, combining sympathetic humor and keen social perception, has been called "a giant of American letters." The book offered here contains some of Steinbeck's best-known work, such as Of Mice and Men and Cannery Row. See table of contents. A maroon cloth-like covering is accented with black lettering on the spine and front cover. The text is printed in two columns of small print. The book measures 8.5" x 5.75" x 1.25". Based on visual observation (and not as a professional book grading), condition is good; there's minor shelf wear, a few pages with the corners folded over, some dull areas on the front and back covers, foxing on the endpapers, and a handwritten name inside the front cover; the binding is tight and pages are clean.
