The base of this collar is polypropylene webbing, which won’t stretch or get moldy if it gets wet. Collar shown on 1.5 inch, 1 inch, and 3/4 inch width, also available on 2 inch width. Available as a regular buckle collar on 3/4 inch, 1 inch, and 1.5 inch webbing. Available as a fabric martingale on 2 inch webbing as well!

If you would like colored hardware, please make sure to add it to your basket before checking out! Metal buckles are only available in 1 inch and 3/4 inch width. While these metal buckles are fashionable and strong, they are NOT recommended for use in water, especially salt water! If your pup frequents water, remove the collar, or stick with the plastic buckle or martingale options.

Martingale collars work well with just about any dog, but are particularly handy for dogs that have heads that are smaller than their necks (think sight hounds), or tend to slip out of their collars when on leash. Martingale collars will pull snug then pressure is applied, and will release that snugness when the pulling stops.
This collar is also available as a slip collar, which is similar in function to a martingale, just a slightly different look.

The fit of these collars is similar to any other collar, measure around the neck where the collar normally sits (leave room for 2 fingers to fit between the collar and dog), but also measure the widest part of your dog’s head. Measuring his or her head is especially important if you have a dog with a larger head like a Rottweiler, Boston, a bully-type dog, etc. make sure you choose a size that fits BOTH of those measurements!
