Our handmade trays are perfect for use as a charcuterie board, cheese/meat tray, serving tray or even a centerpiece for your dining table! Each one is handmade from high quality solid hardwood on the sides and high quality birch plywood for the bottom for stability and longevity and sealed on the inside to aid in preventing stains and protecting the wood. Trays are blank and at this time we do not offer personalization.

HANDLES: We can attach black, silver/nickel or gold/brass handles. We can also leave handles off and NOT drill holes (need to specifically request this in the customization box below the menus). Please leave handle color in customization box. IF NO NOTE IS LEFT REGARDING COLOR OR REQUEST TO LEAVE OFF HANDLES, BLACK WILL BE USED.

SIZING:
All sizes are measured in inches and are approximate. Sizes are for the OUTSIDE of the tray. Subtract approx. 1 1/8" from each dimension for the inside dimensions of the tray. All sizes have a lip that is raised approx. 1" above the inside of the tray to prevent food spills. All sizes sit approx. 1.5" tall.

*Want a custom size? We are happy to accommodate custom sized lengths between 15 and 40". The width MUST be 8, 12 or 16". Simply order the next size up. For example if you want a 12x35 order a 12x40 and request in the notes the size be 12x35 (please note our sizes are approximate and will vary by up to 3/8" due to saw blade minus cuts).

WHITEWASH STAIN: Whitewash is just that, a wash of stain. It is NOT a paint and will NOT cover like a paint. Lightness/darkness will vary piece to piece depending on how dark the initial wood is and how much wood grain is present. No two will be identical. Wood grain WILL show through the stain. It is a subtle wash of stain. It is VERY hard to photograph due to how light reflects off the sealant so please take note of this. It is more of a rustic white, not painted.

UNSTAINED + UNSEALED:
Unstained is meant for those who wish to paint/stain their own. We do NOT seal this option as sealant will prevent paint/stain from absorbing into the wood. If you are wanting to paint/stain your own, you can also request that the holes for handles be drilled but the handles be left not attached for ease in painting/staining. We do not recommend repeatedly removing and re-attaching handles.


CARE AND USE:
While trays are sealed on the inside to help prevent against stains. We always recommend placing a barrier between any food and the tray to make cleaning easier and aid in preventing stains. Do not submerge in water or put in the dishwasher. Clean with damp rag and gentle soap like dish soap. DO NOT SOAK it may warp wood. Wipe clean with damp rag. Let air dry completely before storing. If you wish for us to leave the sealant off so you can apply something food safe (ex; beeswax, or some types of oils) please let us know in the comments box at checkout.

Bottoms and outside edges are NOT sealed. They are sanded multiple times throughout our process and the tray is as smooth as possible prior to shipment. However, wood will still have some texture to it as it is natural wood. There may be variation in texture across the piece due to wood grain variation and direction changes, natural rough spots that extended throughout the wood (particularly where knots are cut around), and natural knots in the piece. While it should go without saying, some fabrics will grab the bottom of the tray even if it feels smooth as wood has texture no matter how much it's sanded smooth. We do not recommend SLIDING your tray across fabric (ex; velvet, chenille, microfiber, etc). If you wish for us to seal the bottom of the trays please contact us and we can set up a custom listing. There is an additional cost to do so and 2-3 days will be added to the lead time to add multiple coats and drying time.

PLEASE NOTE ABOUT OUR RUSTIC PIECES:
Our pieces are meant to showcase natural wood characteristics like wood grain, natural knots and wood creases/slits. Our trays are made with high quality plywood and natural hardwood. Shading will vary from piece to piece. Some will be lighter and some will be darker depending on the wood grain and the stain selected. Wood grain patterns and presence of natural knots will vary from piece to piece. Natural imperfections such as knots/wood grain variance is to be expected in natural wood and may vary in where it's located.

SMALL BRAD HOLES:
We do NOT fill small brad holes on our pieces unless requested EXCEPT on our whitewash, they will be filled. We can do so upon request but it can add 2-3 business days to your order processing time to putty/sand and dry before staining. These small holes, while now covered, will NOT disappear. The putty will not match the stain 100% to make these spots invisible. They will generally be slightly lighter than the wood stains due to how the putty absorbs the stain.

SHIPPING:
Is via UPS ground or USPS ground (Etsy won't let us add UPS as an option). Delivery is generally 4-6 business days as long as the carrier doesn't have delays. Generally only 8x20, 12x20 and 16x20 will ship USPS the rest will ship UPS. Please provide a physical address, NOT a PO box or APO address! If shipping to Alaska or Hawaii there may be additional shipping required. Please contact us prior to placing the order if shipping to one of these states. If additional shipping is required to one of these states, the order will not be started until additional shipping is paid. Thank you!
