How do I measure Hoop Hugger Diameter?

If you are looking for that hoop-hugging look we all love, you may find that you need a custom size! Not to worry as it is super simple but you may need a friend to help All that you need to do is take a ruler and measure from your piercing to the edge of the piercing that you plan on wearing the earring in. The measurement can be in both metric and inches as I realize that not everyone may have a metric scale ruler handy. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.

How do I measure for a cuff bracelet?

The way that I recommend customers to size their bracelets is to take a piece of nonstretchy string such as dental floss or a fabric ruler and wrapping it around the area of the wrist you intend to wear the bracelets. That length will be the size you want to choose. The bracelets will be loose without being too loose but not too tight either. If you prefer more form fitting then I would suggest a half inch down. If you prefer very loose then a half-inch up. I would also suggest not using something like a phone charging cable as that always nets a larger size.

Will the jewelry I receive look exactly like the one in the photo?

Each piece of jewelry is handmade, so slight variations in color, shape, or finish may occur compared to the product images. Additionally, since everyone’s piercing location and ear shape are unique, the way the jewelry looks when worn may differ from our listing photos. These variations are a natural part of handcrafted items and contribute to the individuality and charm of your piece. We encourage you to embrace these subtle differences as part of its one-of-a-kind beauty!

Do you offer returns / exchanges on custom item(s) order?

Unfortunately, Virginia Wynne Designs does not offer returns/refunds or exchanges on custom made, custom cut out items. If the item you order has the option for a custom size hoop or cut out, please make sure to measure correctly as it will not be able to be returned or exchanged.

Do you offer returns/refunds and exchanges?

Yes, we accept returns! All standard items (excluding rings and bracelets) may be returned within 7 days of delivery. Items must be unused and in their original packaging, with the buyer covering return shipping. Please note: A 15% restocking fee applies to all returns, regardless of condition. Refunds are processed once the returned item is received. For exchanges (including rings and bracelets), please contact us within 7 days of delivery to arrange. The buyer is responsible for shipping costs both ways. Important: Always reach out to us before initiating a return or exchange. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

If I use your free standard shipping, how is it shipped?

All US Domestic orders have free shipping on purchases of $35 and over. Standard shipping is through USPS Ground Advantage. We do offer shipping upgrades through both USPS, Fed Ex and UPS and can be seen at check out. If you have any questions about shipping, please do not hesitate to reach out!

Who makes your items?

We do! All orders are handmade in-house to order just for you! Your order is made from start to finish from when you ordered to when it is shipped.

I am finding that the ear backs are becoming loose, what do I do?

If you notice your earring backs getting loose, simply take the ear back in your hand and gently squeeze the two scrolls together. This helps them grip the post more securely and can be done whenever you feel the earrings coming loose.

What is your policy for bulk orders (5+ of the same item)?

To ensure fairness for both buyers and our small shop, we have the following policies for bulk orders (5+ of the same item): Cancellations: If a bulk order is canceled after placement, a 25% cancellation fee will apply. This covers materials, labor, and lost selling opportunities while your order was reserved in production. Returns/Refunds: Bulk orders returned for a refund are subject to a 25% restocking fee (deducted from your refund). Items must be unused, in original condition, and returned within our stated return window. Why? Bulk orders require significant preparation and resources. By placing your order, you agree to these terms.
