Colorful Mod Stripes Oven Mitt, Homeware for Kitchen

This handmade quilted oven mitt adds a bold pop of color to any kitchen. The high-quality cotton fabric is from the Curiosity collection designed by Marcia Derse for Windham Fabrics. Print placement will vary, but each oven mitt will have a multicolored mix of horizontal and vertical stripes.

The lining, binding and hanging loop fabric shown in the first listing photo is a magenta fabric from the Wonder collection designed by Carrie Bloomston for Windham Fabrics.
That fabric is currently difficult to find, so I am substituting a magenta near-solid for this color option while continuing to scout for more of Carrie Bloomston's fabric. A slightly darker mulberry solid from Marcia Derse's Palette collection is another lining option. Choose your lining preference in the drop-down menu.

If you prefer a different lining color, choose Other in the drop-down menu add a comment at checkout to let me know your preference or request a custom listing. I have a fairly large assortment of high quality cotton solids.

This oven glove would be a colorful accent for a modern, mid mod, industrial, or Scandi kitchen. It would also be a perfect hostess gift, shower gift, housewarming gift, or Christmas gift for your favorite foodie.

The oven mitt measures approximately 12.5" x 7" --- extra-long for reaching WAY back into the oven without risking a wrist burn. This oven glove is NOT a snug fit. The mitt can be cuffed to shorten the length, if desired,

Sandwiched between the front and lining fabrics of these potholders are three layers of batting; InsulBright heat-resistant batting, Warm & Natural cotton batting, and preshrunk white cotton flannel. InsulBright is heat-resistant, but not heat proof.

The lining layers are machine quilted to the top by me on my sewing machine. The diagonal quilting lines allow for an easy bend when reaching for hot items. The binding is machine stitched to the front of the mitt, then securely hand stitched to the inner lining.
