Kansa bronze refers to a precise mixture of 15% tin and 85% copper as it is believed this ratio holds the greatest health benefits. In Odisha the process of making kansa bronze pieces by hand has not changed for over 2000 years. While kansa bronze is worked by various artisans across India, those made in rural Odisha are different as they have a signature charcoal fired finish on the bottoms

Kansa is also referred to as bell metal because of the rich tones it produces. When held in the palm and tapped on the rims you can feel vibrations from your hand to forearms and each bowl in this set produces a different pleasing tone


Bronze is proven to be anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, and anti-fungal

Care Instructions

Dishwasher safe
To keep your bronze looking new and remove tarnishing, squeeze half a lemon and 1 teaspoon of salt into 1 cup of warm water. Dampen a soft cloth with the water mixture, wipe clean then rinse with pure water
