Swingy patchwork kimono/duster handmade from vintage, repurposed fabrics! The main color theme is magenta and orange, featuring retro vintage cotton fabric prints of peppers, cactus, fruits and vegetables and stripes/florals. The 3/4 length sleeves are of a knitted, upcycled fabric which had a prior life as a pair of pants! Sleeves are approximately 17.5" long.

This long duster is 35" from shoulder seam to shortest part of hem; the hem then curves down to join the back part of the jacket, which measures approximately 45" from top of neck to bottom of back hem.

Patches are all sewn together using the French seam method; this way, there are no exposed edges to fray in the patchwork. Seams around arm holes and down to hem are sewn with regular seams and then zigzagged to prevent fraying. All edges on outside of kimono have handmade binding, made from the same fabric as the kimono.

The back of the duster features patchwork at the top, which goes down almost to the waist, for a top piece length of 16". It then joins a long piece of the main pepper fabric, sweeping down another 29" to bottom of hem (total back length of 45"). I have crocheted black ties and added them to the front waistline. You'll have your choices of tops and bottoms to wear with it, with so many colors in the fabrics!

This free-spirited duster will feel so comfortable to you throughout the seasons! Fits up to a womens M, bust size 36". There is enough room to layer a tee or even a heavier shirt underneath.

This one of a kind piece was handmade in our Pennsylvania smoke-free, cat-friendly sewing studio. Made on my vintage Singer sewing machine. We use repurposed fabrics and notions in our pieces whenever possible; we also use recycled materials in our packaging. Hat sold separately.

This kimono may be machine washed in a large garment bag on gentle cycle, in cold water, and machine dried on low temp or air dried.
