This is a reproduction of a 1920 blouse that opens at the left shoulder and underarm seam. There are three sleeve options (short, cuffed, and flowy) and three neckline options (high neck, square neck, and scoop neck). The Delineator praises its new and unusual curved band. This pattern also includes a digitized embroidery pattern of the same era.

Single size pattern for 36 inch bust.

Material Required:
1¼ yards of 40" wide fabric for View A
1⅝ yards of 40" wide fabric for View B or D
1½ yards of 40" wide fabric for View C (+ ⅜ of contrasting material)
Suggested materials include batiste, georgette, voile, crepe meteor, dimity, handkerchief linen, etc.

Original patterns have very little instruction, as sewing knowledge was much more common back then. This pattern only includes the original instructions and markings, and is best for someone with previous experience. You may refer to The Art of Dressmaking for information from the time period (this book was published by the same company as this pattern, Butterick, and can be found as a free e-book in Google books) or any other sewing book. As always, a mockup is highly recommended.

Patterns of this era were not printed, but perforated to indicate such notations as grainline and plaits. Oftentimes, these markings were not cut correctly in the cutting process and have been trued in this pattern.
