Welcome to my first short fiction collection called OUT OF OUR HEADS.
It is a chapbook of 13 flash fiction stories (super short stories of less than 500 words each).

I don't want to give too much away so all I will say is that you haven't met characters like these before. There is a tiny bit of swearing so I'd pitch this book for age 13 or over.

The pages are printed on high quality 120 gsm white paper. Each chapbook is made from scratch by me. They are A5 size, made from double-sided printed card with inner pockets. I hand sew each booklet with embroidery thread and no two cover designs are the same. I have used bold patterns for this collection to echo the feel of the book.

IMPORTANT
My printer is old with wonky rollers. For reasons unknown to a luddite like myself, I cannot work out why it prints some pages with the requested sensible margins and some that are askew. Personally, I think it's rather charming to have this nod to the handmade, self-publishing 80s zine culture. I thought I should let you know in case you were expecting a more polished, industry standard, uniform document.
If I sell a lot of these chapbooks then I could save up to buy a better printer. Conversely, selling a lot would mean that it the wonkiness of the print doesn't matter and I could use the money to pay my gas bill instead. Dilemma.

There are three stand alone short story chapbooks and one poetry collection also available in my Etsy shop.

My youtube channel has a video of the making of these chapbooks. I've had requests for my short stories and poetry, as most that were published in anthology books are now out of print.

Some of my writing is award-nominated and one won! I've been published as far apart as New Orleans, Glasgow and Australia. I've read on zooms, community collaborative youtube videos and podcasts, been published in sci-fi magazines and had my poetry played on a loop at an art installation. Apple TV used a quote from me in publicity for the Billie Eilish documentary.

So, as a writer and a bookbinder, it made sense to combine the two.
