★Yarn for cardigan, hat and booties: Yarn for sizes preemie, newborn, 0-3 & 3-6 months: You can use any weight 3 / DK / 8 ply yarn (provided you meet the gauge as stated in the pattern). Yarn for sizes 6-12 months & 1-2 years: You can use any weight 4 / worsted / aran / 10 ply yarn (provided you meet the gauge as stated in the pattern).
★ Yarn for mittens (sizes preemie to 3-6 months only): You can use any weight 3 / light worsted / DK / 8 ply yarn (provided you meet the gauge as stated in the pattern).
