Don't worry - you're not the first to ask - I get this question SO often! In metric units 1 metre is the same as 100 centimetres, but if you're more familiar with imperial units then 1mtr is equivalent to 39 inches or 3 foot 3 inches. Just think of a metre as a generous yard :-) If you need specific conversions then Google is super helpful with these: https://www.google.com/search?q=Unit+converter

Stock Availability & Quantities

The quantity available on the Etsy shop should be the amount of actual stock I have, you can increase the quantity up to the maximum available. If you want more than 1 metre (or whatever the sales unit) then just increase the quantity that you add to your "basket", remember that you won't be able to add more than what I have available. It's rare, but, occasionally the inventory goes wrong and I don't have as much stock as stated... 1. If I'm just a little bit short then I'll refund the difference to you and send your order. 2. If there's quite a bit short then I'll contact you; - you can choose to have the short length - or you can wait for more stock - or cancel the order :-(

I can create a custom order for you if you need a larger quantity or a specific quantity, or if you'd like to pre-order something that is low-stock, just let me know what you need :-) Sorry, I don't print or manufacture the ribbons & trims in my shop so I'm unable to offer custom prints, designs or colours.

How long will it take?

ALL the items shown in my Etsy shop are physically in stock in my studio but, I'm not just taking an item from the shelf and sticking a shipping label on it, it's a lengthy manual process to pick, measure, cut, wrap and pack the trims - and I do this with care and attention. The estimated dispatch times on shown on Etsy are updated depending on my current workload, so these guides are fairly accurate. Most orders are completed within 5 business days but at peak times (October/November especially!) this can be much longer. I process orders in chronological order from when they're received so the sooner you place an order the sooner it'll be dispatched. If you have a specific deadline or are concerned about timings then please contact me.

Please note that your payment is processed securely by Etsy so I can't adjust the payment values if you'd like to increase quantities or add to your order. If you would like to add to your order and it hasn't been dispatched then please follow this procedure: 1. Send me a message to let me know your intentions of placing another order, I will hold your existing order. 2. Place a new order for the extra items you wish to purchase, I will then process your orders as one, combine shipping and refund the additional shipping charges. If you have ordered an additional quantity of the same ribbon I will try to send this as one length. * If your order has already been dispatched then I can't combine shipping.

Please contact me if you have any concerns about my packaging. I try not to have wasteful or plastic packaging wherever possible. *I wrap the ribbons/trims around recycled cards & fasten with paper labels, sometimes I bundle the items & fasten them with strips of re-used paper. *The ribbons are then packed into recycled paper bags or recycled acid-free tissue paper and closed with paper washi-tape and paper labels. *The order is then sent in either a eco-friendly paper envelope, a PLASTIC-FREE padded mailer, or a cardboard box sealed with paper tape, all are made from recycled materials and can ALL be RECYCLED :-) whoohoo!! When large quantities of the same ribbon are ordered I re-use empty ribbon reels, which are also eco-friendly.

Standard shipping with the Royal Mail is NOT tracked. If you have not selected a shipping upgrade at the checkout then I cannot track your package. UK: Standard shipping by 2nd class, upgrade available for 1st class, "signed for" & "special delivery" Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland & The Netherlands: Standard shipping by "Royal Mail International Standard" is NOT tracked, upgrade available for "Tracked/Signed" USA & Everywhere else: Standard shipping by Royal Mail "Tracked/Signed" which is trackable for *most* destinations and/or requires a signature on delivery. If you have already placed the order but would like to upgrade the shipping then please contact me before dispatch to arrange additional payment towards an upgrade.

My order hasn't arrived :-( what now?

I'm sorry that your order hasn't been delivered, it's disappointing for you and I both - I want you to have your ribbon! Rest assured, orders are covered by the Etsy Purchase Protection Program, if your order is lost or hasn't arrived within the delivery window, or if it has been damaged in transit then the next step is to open a case through Etsy, here's how: help.etsy.com/hc/en-gb/articles/5745586898199-How-to-Open-a-Case?segment... I ship all orders through Etsy and purchase the shipping labels from Etsy so the only way to get a refund is for the buyer to open a case - as a seller I am unable to issue a refund in this situation. USA Shipping Update - Feb 2026

Since the Etsy update to the conditions of their "purchase protection program" in January, I now have to send all USA shipments with tracked delivery, this is significantly more expensive so it was not a decision that I took lightly, and I'm so sorry for the disappointing result. Where possible, try to purchase a number of items to make the shipping worthwhile - or perhaps combine orders with friends to split the cost. The good news is that your order is protected by Etsy's "purchase protection program" so if the order is delayed, lost or damaged you can claim a full refund by opening a case through Etsy.

Material Composition: 90% Polyester, 10% Polyamide
Specs: Washable up to 40°C on a gentle cycle. Cool iron up to 110°C (1 dot). Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry. Dry clean any solvent except (P) trichloroethylene.
