What's the deal with customs and tarifs?

🇺🇸 Tariffs for US customers are paid in advance via DDP with Royal Mail and these costs are built into my shipping prices. 🇪🇺 The EU now also imposes customs duty, handling fees as well as enforcing duty paid in advance for some countries. These are built into my shipping costs, which is why they are so high - sorry. 🌍 For everywhere else, Etsy should charge you customs taxes at checkout where applicable, but you may have to pay for import duty upon receipt. 🛃 I can take no responsibility for additional charges imposed by your country of residence when you import from abroad.

📦 Where can I find the tracking info?

⚠️ Tracking is not standard on mail sent from the 🇬🇧 UK, it costs extra. ⚠️ Unless you selected the optional shipping upgrade at checkout, there is no tracking! My shipping rates remain as affordable as possible for international customers because I do not force this optional upgrade onto you. You have the choice. Please read the individual listings, all the info is there.

📅 My order hasn't arrived!

I ask you to wait 30 days to see if the item will arrive before we consider it lost. The vast majority of "lost" mail turns up within this time and I cannot do anything about it my end until 25 days have passed since the expected delivery date. I know Etsy says "get by" but that is an estimated window and it is wildly optimistic for international mail. I only have control over how fast I pack and send off your order - after that, it's at the mercy of the postal services. I have complained to Etsy regarding the misleading wording. Rest assured that - assuming you provided the correct address & there are no other issues that are your responsibility - I will resolve it. Please be patient!

📅 How long does shipping usually take?

It is hard to answer this question because it varies so much depending on the time you ordered, your location and the time of year. I try to package and post orders as often as possible - usually 2-3 times a week. The vast majority arrive within 2 weeks. This is not a guarantee, but a guide. Please allow for 30 days. During the run-up to Christmas, post can take even longer. I recommend not leaving Christmas shopping till December to avoid disappointment. Not just from me! From any retailer! Big or small!

My order arrived damaged!

If the item is made of acrylic plastic, please check there is no protective film covering it. It is a common misconception that these items are scratched when it is just the protective coating that is dull. Please check that you didn't place an order for a Seconds item - these are clearly explained within the listing and priced down due to defects. For anything else, please message here on Etsy with photos of the damage.
