What is Hand Stamping?

Hand stamping is the art of hammering letters/designs into metal one by one by hand using metal dies. Each letter or design is hammered into the metal individually, which lends a beautiful hand made quality to each piece. This process allows for small variations in design, depth, and placement so no two pieces will ever be identical. These are not engraved.

To lengthen the life of your pet tag it is recommended that the tag not be attached to the same ring as other tags/charms on your pet's collar. Constant friction between two or more tags/charms will eventually cause damage. To maintain your tag, follow these simple steps: 1. Wash tag with mild soap and warm water. 2. If your letters have faded, darken them using a thick black Sharpie marker. Colour over the entire area, then wipe away using a paper towel. 3. Use a soft 4-sided nail buffer to remove any excess permanent marker as well as any patina you’re looking to clean off. 4. Allow to dry completely before reattaching. This process can be done as often as you’d like without affecting the life of your tag.

Returns and Exchanges

As each item is made to order and most often personalized. Returns and exchanges are not possible unless we have made an error on your order. Please reach out with any concerns and we will work with you on a possible resolution.

Shop turn around times vary based on the item purchased season. Pet tags have a 2-3 week lead time. Stethoscope tags have a 1-2 week lead time. I always ship sooner when possible. As each item is hand made by one artist, this turn around time allows for the proper care and attention to be given to each and every order.

All orders being shipped outside of Canada will be sent using a DDP service (Delivery Duty Paid). This service ensures that all charges are paid prior to shipping so that there are no additional fees upon delivery. This is in place as of August 29, 2025. As international tariff policies are ever evolving, this service may change in the future. Please refer to shop announcements for the most current information.
