Finished Product Measurements:
Egg-measures about 6 inches tall and about 5 inches wide
Chick-measure about 7 inches tall (with legs) and 5 inches wide (across wing span)

-Size 6 bulky yarn (I used Michael’s Sweet Snuggles Lite Yarn by Loops and Threads in Daffodil for the body, Sweet Snuggles Lite Yarn by Loops and Threads in Peach Pink for the legs and beak, Sweet Snuggles Lite Blossom Yarn by Loops and Threads in Rose for the white and pink egg, and Sweet Snuggles Lite Blossom Yarn by Loops and Threads in Dahlia for the pink and green egg)
-12mm safety eyes

These are so cute as well as fun, easy, and quick to make. I made about a dozen as little Easter gifts. I even played around with the pattern and put bunny ears on one instead of making a chick. I used 4 ply worsted weight and an H hook (because I crochet tightly) and the chicks and eggs turned out just as I hoped (about 2 1/2”-3” tall). Great pattern.
