Each collar is custom handmade per your order so you must measure your pup’s neck and current collar width size prior to ordering! I am unable to offer exchanges or returns. Metal: Strong and luxurious looking. However; they are heavier, can make a jingle sound when your pup is active, and will accumulate cosmetic wear and tear like scratching and chipping after being worn.

Plastic: Weightless, noiseless, and will not accumulate scratching like the metal does. However; they are not as strong as metal.






📏Measuring Your Pet📏

Measure your pup’s neck prior to ordering. Each collar is custom made so all sales are final! Please also measure the width of your dog’s existing collar to make sure you select the correct width size. Common dog collar widths are 3/8”, 1/2”, 5/8”, 3/4”, and 1”. If you are unsure, feel free to send us a photo of your dog’s collar with a ruler against it!




Ways to Measure📏

The most accurate way to get your dog’s collar measurement is to measure the length of your dog’s existing collar against a flat ruler. Only include 1 side of the buckle into the measurement and make sure the collar is correctly adjusted to your pup’s current neck size.




You can also use soft measuring tape or put any type of string material around the neck and then hold it up against a flat ruler. For this method, make sure to add a few fingers space into your measurement for a comfortable fit.

Our sizes overlap and your pet may fall into multiple sizes! 

} If your dog is full grown, we generally recommend selecting the size your measurement falls more into the middle of. 

} If you have a growing puppy, we recommend selecting the larger size and in some cases even sizing up depending on how quickly your dog's breed grows.







XXS: 6-9” (1/2” or 5/8” width)





XS: 8-12” (1/2”, 5/8”, or 3/4” width)





S: 10-15” (1/2”, 5/8”, 3/4”, or 1” width)





S/M: 12-17” (5/8”, 3/4”, or 1” width)

Good for XS to small dog breeds (dogs 7-25lbs or per your preference). This is your more commonly seen “small dog collar”








3/4” ~ medium (collars weigh 2-2.5oz)


A slightly wider option for small breeds, and good for medium breeds (generally dogs weighing around 15-40lbs or per your preference)








1” ~ standard (collars weigh 3-3.5oz)



M-XL sized breeds, and some small breeds depending on your pup’s breed and shape (generally dogs weighing at least about 30lbs or per your preference) 








1.5” ~ extra wide (collars weigh 6-6.5oz)



L & XL breeds that prefer an extra wide collar option, and some medium breeds based on your preference. This is a heavy option and we only recommend picking it if you are certain it’s the size your pup uses/needs!

While our collars are made as high quality as possible, no collar is indestructible and we recommend regularly checking for wear and tear and replacing your collar when necessary. Our collars are not intended for pullers or heavy duty use. Piper Blue is not responsible for any accidents that may occur from the misuse of our products.
