Are the sunglasses/clothing in the designs on a seperate layer from the character?

No. All of my shop files come as single-layer designs.

I'm getting an error when I try to open the files

Make sure you unzip the files before use. You can do this by right clicking the zip and selecting "unzip" or "extract". This will create a regular folder with your files in it.

The download button didnt work.

What's this about coloring instructions?

Each bundle comes with basic coloring instructions for coloring an svg in a free vector editing software called inkscape. This will cover the bare minimun of coloring with a paint bucket and managing layers. This is simply to allow you to dip your toes in customization and inspire creativity.
