This was one of the most frustrating shopping experiences I’ve had on Etsy. I ordered a sweatshirt that was clearly shown and titled as “Auntie.” I only added “P” in the optional box to make it say “Auntie P,” but it arrived misspelled as “Aunti P.” There was no clear notice explaining that adding text would replace the word “Auntie,” not add to it. Instead of understanding, the seller argued back and forth for days, insisting it was my fault. It took countless messages and Etsy’s involvement before a refund was finally issued. While I appreciate the resolution, no buyer should have to go through this much effort to fix a simple mistake. I hope the seller improves clarity and communication.

ahram is a valued customer and we were sorry to hear she was not satisfied with our customer service. This sweatshirt has an optional personalization box in which buyers can add a different name if they prefer. The customer added Aunti P. in the personalization box and the sweatshirt was printed with that name instead of Auntie. We understand that Aunti is not the usual way to spell it but we get a lot of requests for different spellings so the item was fulfilled as it was entered. We offered a discount for another sweatshirt as this wasn't our mistake. But after several conversations and Etsy's involvement we decided that customer service is still our number one priority so we proceeded with a refund and also a new sweatshirt.
