Antique Spanish Immaculate Conception statue from the Olot school, circa 1930s.
Beautiful Virgin Mary stepping on the serpent, a classic Catholic devotional sculpture. Stamped "Olot" on the back. The Maltese cross mark indicates an early period of the Olot school. Olot, located north of Barcelona, was home to many renowned workshops producing religious devotional art. Some touch-up painting has been applied to make small scratches and cracks less noticeable. Total height from the top of the halo to the bottom of the pedestal: 27.7 in (70.5 cm).
For safe packing and shipping, the halo will be removed to prevent damage
