Are your garments ready-made or made to order? How does the process work?

〰️ Every Knotium garment is made to order. After you place your order, I personally reach out to confirm your measurements and fit preferences before production begins. This step is essential to my process and allows each piece to be adjusted to the individual wearing it. Clothing should adapt to you — not the other way around.

How does sizing work, and do you charge for adjustments?

〰️ Fit adjustments are included in the price of every garment. I consider this part of responsible, thoughtful making and an important reason many clients choose Knotium. Each listing contains a size chart photo with body measurements for each size. Measure yourself directly on your body, keeping the measure tape parallel to the floor and not too tight. Select your size based on ° pants: hip measurement ° tops, blouses and jackets: bust measurement ° skirts: waist and hip measurements ° dresses: bust and hip measurements If you’re unsure about your size or don't see your size on the chart please contact us with your measurements. Our goal is a garment that fits your body, not just a standard size chart.

Why is your pricing higher than some other linen brands?

〰️ Each garment is handmade to order, adjusted to your measurements, and finished using time-intensive techniques such as French seams and double-folded hems. These techniques take more time and precision, but result in cleaner lines, durability, and a garment that looks as refined on the inside as it does on the outside. Every linen piece is also washed and dried before shipping, so it arrives soft, settled, and true to how it will look and feel long-term. The price reflects this level of craftsmanship and care.

How long does it take to make and ship my order?

〰️ Our current processing time is 5-7 working days. Each piece is made specifically for you, after fit confirmation and pattern adjustment. This approach takes more time, but it allows for better fit, less waste, and garments meant to be worn for years. Production timelines reflect this process and are not rushed by design. If you need your order by a specific date, feel free to contact us before purchasing to make the necessary arrangements. We ship via DPD or DHL Express depending on your location and delivery should take approximately 2-5 working days.

Do you accept returns?

〰️ Yes. We accept returns if notified within 14 days of delivery, provided the garment is returned unworn, unwashed, and in original condition. Please contact us to obtain the return address. The returned shipping cost is the buyer’s responsibility. We will process the refund after receipt of the item. If an item is returned damaged or worn, the refunded amount may be adjusted accordingly. International returns must be marked as ‘Returned Merchandise" and sent with no or minimal value and without insurance. Any customs duties or import taxes on returned items incurred due to incorrect declaration will be deducted from the refund. Use a shipping service that provides a tracking number so that you can monitor the status of your return.

How should I care for my garment?

〰️ LINEN ° Hand wash or machine wash cold or lukewarm on a gentle cycle using mild detergent. ° Do not bleach, do not use fabric softener ° Air dry or tumble dry low. ° Steam or iron while slightly damp if desired. BOILED WOOL ° Air regularly for freshness. ° Spot clean with mild detergent. ° Dry clean or hand wash without squizing. Shape and dry flat. ° Iron on demand on low setting. Care instructions are included with every order.

Will the color look exactly like the photos?

〰️ Please note that screen settings and natural variations in linen batches may cause subtle differences—this is part of working with natural fibers.

Will I have to pay customs and duties?

〰️ We ship our orders from Romania, which is in the European Union (EU). ° For orders outside the EU: Any customs duties, import taxes, or handling fees (if applicable) are set by local authorities and are the responsibility of the buyer. Please contact your local customs office or postal service for more details. If this is a problem, you have the option to cancel your order within 24 hours of placing it. ° For orders from the UNITED STATES: US prices have been updated to include import duties and tariffs. We ship all US orders DDP (Delivered Duties Paid), meaning there are no additional charges upon delivery. The price shown at checkout is the final price you pay.

Our garments comply with EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) and are safe for their intended use. Each item is handmade to order in our studio in Romania (EU) using OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified linen and boiled wool, tested for harmful substances and safe for direct skin contact. Our clothing is intended for adult wear. Some designs may include buttons, ties, or loose threads that are part of normal textile construction and are not suitable for use by children or as toys. No harmful chemicals are used. Garments are made using standard, safe textile practices, with fabrics sourced from trusted European suppliers. Care instructions are provided with each item. Undeliverable Packages

If an order is returned because the delivery could not be completed due to an incorrect or incomplete address, failure to collect the parcel, or the recipient being unavailable after the carrier's delivery attempts, any shipping and return shipping charges incurred will be deducted from the refund. If you would like your order to be reshipped after it is returned to us, you will be responsible for the cost of the new shipment. Please contact us promptly if this is the case.

Wonderfully made shirt: excellent quality linen that's heavier than a lot of mass-market linen clothes, but still thin enough to drape well; hems are finished beautifully; the design is exactly as pictured and the fit is loose and comfortable, as expected. I've been looking for a burgundy/wine top for a while, and I don't think I could have found a better one. Love it! (It also arrived much more quickly than expected, which was a pleasant bonus.)
