It's so confusing, right? When a crochet pattern states, "for personal use only," this is referring to the question "who can use this pattern?" It means, the pattern is for your use and is not to be shared, copied, altered to claim as your own, or distributed without the copyright holder's express permission. Some worry that "for personal use only" means they can't use their finished products in their business, but that's not the case. You are always welcome to sell you finished products wherever you choose.

This "Katan Cowl" design was inspired by the chilly mornings spent doing chores on our homestead, Katan Ranch. I wanted something with great texture that I could slip on quickly and tuck into my jacket so it didn't get in the way when I was bending over to pick up eggs or to fill the water troughs for the sheep.
