This Diva, from "My Little Diva" design" is one of over 150 in our "Animal Whimsey" line of copyrighted pet jewelry. Each earring is custom made using the lost wax casting process and hand finished in our studio located in Dallas, TX. We specialize in unique, custom jewelry and more.

A special patina with liver of sulphur was applied to bring out more of the detail of the piece and give it an antique look. Liver of sulphur is used to create a patina which can range from a brown, purple, blue, green to a black. Each piece is going to be unique since the patina is painted on and then I buff off what I want to remain shiny. As the patina cures, the silver reacts chemically with the suphur which makes it darker and as it oxidises, it eventually turns black. The end result is the texture I use with sand blasting and carved details are made more visible.

These measure 1 6/8" x 1/2" at the widest part of the pug.

I love this piece. I just wish the back leg was a little more sturdier. The back now on the new piece has 2 hearts where mine has an empty round spot. It’s a little pricey but I have never seen one like it so yes it’s worth the money. I do wish it was bigger.
